Analisis teologis dan historis pemahaman tohonan sebagai jabatan dan ordinasi di Huria Kristen Batak Protestan

The Protestant Batak Christian Huria's understanding of the theology of office has received particular attention since the 2002 Church Order and Administration which was made after the Godang Reconciliation Synod. Church office, translated with the word tohonan are wrongly translated as tahbisan or ordination. The inconsistency influences direct or indirect the conclusion that the pastor??"s ordination, one of the offices in HKBP, represents Christ??"s office. By conducting a theological and historical analysis of HKBP??"s church office and ordination, this research will prove that the HKBP's understanding of tohonan is inconsistent. The inconsistency of understanding church offices is influenced by contextual needs that made the church add ecclesiastical offices during the development of the church, mistranslations, and incorrect theological understandings of offices and ordination. To restore the spirit of the royal priesthood that was echoed by the reformer Martin Luther, HKBP must revisit its understanding of the tohonan (office) and the relationship between officeholders.
Abstrak
Pemahaman Huria Kristen Batak Protestan mengenai teologi jabatan mendapat perhatian khusus sejak Tata Gereja dan Tata Laksana 2002 yang dibuat setelah Sinode Godang Rekonsiliasi. Jabatan gereja yang diterjemahkan dengan kata tohonan ternyata diterjemahkan secara inkonsisten sebagai tahbisan atau ordinasi. Perubahan tersebut juga secara tidak langsung mendorong kesimpulan bahwa tohonan pendeta, sebagai salah satu jabatan di HKBP, mencakup semua tohonan Kristus. Melalui penelitian kepustakaan dan analisis historis dan teologis, penelitian menelusuri terminologi mengenai tohonan sebagai jabatan gereja dan ordinasi. Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemahaman HKBP mengenai hierarki jabatan disertai oleh pemahaman tohonan tidak konsisten antara jabatan gereja dan ordinasi. Inkonsistensi pemahaman tersebut dipengaruhi oleh kebutuhan kontekstual pelayanan dari masa ke masa yang membuat gereja menambah jabatan gerejawi dengan fungsi khusus. Penambahan jabatan gereja, yang juga diberikan dengan ordinasi. Selain faktor utama tersebut, ada juga kesalahan penerjemahan serta pemahaman teologi yang tidak tepat mengenai jabatan dan ordinasi. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa HKBP perlu mengembalikan semangat reformasi imamat am yang rajani yang kembali didengungkan oleh Martin Luther.
