Abstract

This article offers another solution from the various solutions that have been offered previously to the problem in 2 Samuel 24 which is more disjunctive rather than conjunctive. In fact, conjunctive understanding using the public theology perspective of Paul Hanson which is analyzed by Oliver Glanz??"s Participant-Reference Shifts Theory has the potency to produce a conjunctive solution in the form of an accountable public policy. This accountable public policy is based upon the correction of David??"s behavior, which should communicate dialogically with God, and consecutively, a dialogical communication with his subordinates through transparent sharing of vision and values. This communication model becomes a preparation key for interaction with less familiar communities that are characterized by mutual respect, and not a compromising attitude, while still promoting togetherness in solving problems that arise in a community.
