Abstract

Intergenerational gaps often pose a significant challenge within the church and Christian leadership context. Differences in values, perspectives, communication styles, and ministry preferences can create barriers that hinder unity, mission effectiveness, and the spiritual continuity from one generation to the next. This article analyzes the nature and impact of intergenerational gaps in Christian leadership and proposes a transformative approach to convert these "gaps" into robust "bridges." Through theological reflection and an analysis of intergenerational social dynamics, this paper explores key principles for developing inclusive, collaborative leadership that integrates the strengths and perspectives of every generation. This transformation requires understanding, empathy, open communication, and a willingness to learn from one another. The ultimate goal is to foster Christian leadership that is relevant across all ages and effectively prepares the church for the future by leveraging the rich experience and innovation found across generations.

 

Abstrak

Kesenjangan antargenerasi seringkali menjadi tantangan signifikan dalam konteks gereja dan kepemimpinan kristiani. Perbedaan nilai, cara pandang, gaya komunikasi, dan preferensi dalam pelayanan dapat menciptakan hambatan yang menghambat kesatuan, efektivitas misi, dan kelangsungan spiritual dari satu generasi ke generasi berikutnya. Artikel ini menganalisis sifat dan dampak kesenjangan antargenerasi dalam kepemimpinan kristiani serta mengusulkan pendekatan transformatif untuk mengubah "kesenjangan" ini menjadi "jembatan" yang kokoh. Melalui refleksi teologis dan analisis dinamika sosial antargenerasi, tulisan ini mengeksplorasi prinsip-prinsip kunci bagi pengembangan kepemimpinan yang inklusif, kolaboratif, dan mampu mengintegrasikan kekuatan serta perspektif dari setiap generasi. Transformasi ini membutuhkan pemahaman, empati, komunikasi terbuka, dan kesediaan untuk belajar dari satu sama lain. Tujuan akhirnya adalah menumbuhkan kepemimpinan kristiani yang tidak hanya relevan bagi semua usia tetapi juga secara efektif mempersiapkan gereja untuk masa depan dengan memanfaatkan kekayaan pengalaman dan inovasi lintas generasi.
