Abstract
This research constructs a novel theological framework, the Weary Imago Dei, as a holistic–feminist–contextual pastoral lens responding to the multidimensional fatigue experienced by housewives in the GBKP (Karo Batak Protestant Church) congregation of Tanjung Morawa Kiri. Prior studies, dominated by biological-psychological approaches, tend to render the theological dimension decorative ornamentation, silence women's lived experience, and neglect the cosmological worldview of the Karo customary tradition. Employing Richard Osmer's four-task qualitative-theological method (descriptive-empirical, interpretive, normative, and pragmatic) in dialogue with critical literature study and narrative exegesis of Hannah (1 Samuel 1) and Matthew 11:28-30, this research argues that maternal fatigue is neither a moral defect nor a deficiency of faith, but rather a structural condition of image-bearing exposed to patriarchal burden and the disruption of the daliken si telu social-cultural structure. The principal contribution is a novel theological framework integrating creaturely-vulnerability anthropology, the tripartite anthropology of 1 Thessalonians 5:23, feminist critique of idealized maternal roles, and Karo indigenous wisdom, alongside seven concrete pastoral-administrative implications for the GBKP Moderamen.
Abstrak
Penelitian ini membangun konstruksi teologis baru bertajuk imago Dei yang lelah sebagai kerangka pastoral holistik-feminis kontekstual untuk merespons fenomena keletihan multidimensi yang dialami ibu rumah tangga di Jemaat Gereja Batak Karo Protestan (GBKP) Tanjung Morawa Kiri. Riset-riset terdahulu yang berfokus pada pendekatan biologis-psikologis cenderung menjadikan dimensi teologis sebagai aksesori dekoratif, mengabaikan suara pengalaman perempuan, dan tidak menggumuli konteks kosmologi adat Karo secara serius. Dengan menggunakan metodologi kualitatif-teologis empat tugas Richard Osmer (deskriptif-empiris, interpretatif, normatif, dan pragmatis) yang didialogkan dengan studi pustaka kritis dan eksegesis naratif Hana (1 Samuel 1) serta Matius 11:28-30, penelitian ini berargumentasi bahwa kelelahan ibu rumah tangga bukanlah cacat moral atau kelemahan iman, melainkan kondisi struktural pengembangan citra Allah yang terpapar beban patriarkal serta disrupsi struktur sosial-kultural "daliken si telu." Sumbangan utama riset adalah kerangka teologis novel yang mengintegrasikan antropologi kerentanan, antropologi tripartit 1 Tesalonika 5:23, kritik feminis terhadap konstruksi peran ideal, dan kearifan lokal Karo, beserta tujuh implikasi praksis-administratif konkret bagi Moderamen GBKP dalam pengembangan kebijakan pastoral kontekstual yang lebih bertanggung jawab terhadap pengalaman perempuan.
