Abstract

This study examines the construction of the theological resilience paradigm through the convergence of Pauline and Moltmannian eschatological thought, particularly focusing on the "already but not yet" concept. The research demonstrates how Paul's eschatological framework, as systematized by Geerhardus Vos, intersects with Jürgen Moltmann's theology of hope to construct a paradigm of theological resilience. Through a literature-based analysis, this study reveals that the tension between present reality and future hope creates a distinctive theological framework for understanding human perseverance in the face of suffering. The convergence of these theological traditions offers a novel perspective on resilience that transcends psychological categories, grounding human endurance in eschatological hope. The findings suggest that theological resilience arises from the dialectical tension of Christ's inaugurated yet incomplete reign, offering believers both present comfort and a future orientation. This research contributes to contemporary theological discourse by offering a biblical-theological foundation for understanding resilience within Christian faith communities.
