Dalek esa sebagai “integrating force”: Sebuah konstruksi teologis interaksi sosial masyarakat multikultural berbasis kearifan lokal di Kabupaten Rote Ndao

There has been substantial research within Indonesian community contexts attempting to understand violent conflicts in inter-ethnic, religious, and cultural interactions. Conversely, research exploring how people can live harmoniously in social interactions across ethnic, spiritual, and cultural boundaries remains limited. This study examines the local wisdom of "Dalek Esa," which has underpinned inter-ethnic and inter-religious interactions in the context of Rote Ndao Regency, East Nusa Tenggara Province. Employing qualitative research methods with phenomenological and ethnographic approaches, the study involved the author's full immersion in the context of the community's life. The research reveals that "Dalek Esa" has served as a foundation in the mechanism of ethnic and religious agreements. At the same time, differences in livelihoods have constructed the peaceful and harmonious life of the culturally and religiously diverse Rote Ndao community.
Abstrak
Terdapat banyak penelitian dalam konteks komunitas masyarakat di Indonesia yang berupaya memahami tentang konflik kekerasan dalam interaksi antar etnis, agama dan budaya. Sementara, di sisi yang lain, penelitian tentang bagaimana orang-orang bisa hidup rukun dalam interaksi sosial antar etnis, agama dan budaya masih belum banyak dilakukan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengekplorasi kearifan lokal “Dalek Esa” yang telah mendasari interaksi antar etnis dan agama dalam konteks masyarakat Kabupaten Rote Ndao- Propinsi Nusa Tenggara Timur. Metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi dan etnografi yang dilakukan berupa keterlibatan penuh penulis dalam konteks kehidupan masyarakat. Dalam penelitian ini ditemukan bahwa “Dalek Esa” telah menjadi pondasi dalam mekanisme kesepakatan etnis, agama dan perbedaan mata pencaharian telah mengkonstruksi kehidupan masyarakat Rote Ndao yang berbeda budaya dan agama yang rukun dan damai.
