Gender-biased patriarchal ideas permeate even the church. These ideas result in unequal gender construction between men and women, which, in turn, leads to gender-based violence (GBV). The church has a major role to play in preventing and addressing GBV against women. On the one hand, the church has the potential to be exposed, but on the other hand, it has the potential to erode the patriarchal ideas that have permeated it. For this reason, we offer adult Christian education with gender justice. Adults are people who may have been exposed to patriarchal ideas, as well as stakeholders who can criticize and educate the next generation about more gender-equitable ideas. In an effort to build a gender-equitable Adult PK, we interpret Genesis 3:16 through a feminist-dialectical lens. This approach will critically and constructively interpret the position and experience of women in the text. By conducting this gender-equitable Adult PK, in turn, the church plays an active role in the prevention and handling of GBV that is rampant in Indonesia.
Abstrak
Gagasan patriarki yang bias gender merambah bahkan menubuh di gereja. Gagasan ini menghasilkan konstruksi gender yang tidak setara antara laki-laki dan perempuan, yang pada gilirannya, menyebabkan kekerasan berbasis gender (KBG). Gereja memiliki peran besar dalam mencegah dan menangani KBG terhadap perempuan. Di satu sisi, gereja berpotensi terpapar, tetapi di sisi lain, gereja berpotensi mengikis gagasan patriarki yang telah merasukinya. Untuk itu, kami menawarkan pendidikan Kristiani dewasa berkeadilan gender. Orang dewasa adalah yang kemungkinan telah terpapar gagasan patriarki sekaligus stakeholder yang dapat mengkritisi sekaligus mendidik generasi berikut tentang gagasan yang lebih adil gender. Dalam upaya membangun PK Dewasa berkeadilan gender ini, kami menafsir Kejadian 3:16 dengan menggunakan pendekatan feminis-dialektis. Pendekatan ini akan menafsir secara kritis dan konstruktif terutama tentang posisi dan pengalaman perempuan di dalam teks. Dengan mengadakan PK Dewasa berkeadilan gender ini, pada gilirannya, gereja berperan aktif dalam pencegahan dan penanganan KBG yang marak terjadi di Indonesia.
